Allergen Foods

When my son was first diagnosed with multiple food allergies I was very overwhelmed. I didn't know how to handle so many limited or avoidance foods. But as I prayed and talked with a dear sweet friend of mine who has lived with food allergies for many years, I saw how I could handle what needed to be done. At first the options (or lack there of) made me want to stand in the middle of the grocery store and cry, but my Faithful God showed me how to juggle it all and how to still feed the rest of the family and not spend every last penny of my husband's hard earned money on groceries. Below is a list of the foods we avoid or rotate for my son. Click on the recipes to see details of how we use some of the limited ingredients.

(Edited to note: we have changed our diet protocol to the GAPS Diet, created by a Physician desiring to heal her son of autism. And now our son is well tolerating many of the foods struck through below that he once could not eat. Full healing is possible with food allergies! Read more here or here.)
